Walaikum Assalam brother Nazir, To claim
mystic experience, one should be a truthful person and should be muttaqi only such people will be
revealed the secrets to certain extent. Mysticism is knowledge of barzakh (the period between death of a
person and his/her resurrection.) Every good person at least experiences once
in his life time but they might not comprehend it. How can
you justify you answer to the above question in the parameters of Al-Imran3:200? Jazakallah A Sister November

Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah I think there is no relation of V3:200 with mysticism. Mystic experience
is a personal experience which is subject to error
as Satan can interfere in it. Whatever we experience mystically, should be evaluated in the light of the Quran and the
Sunnah. If it is in accordance with them, it would
be OK otherwise it should be rejected. I have noted that mystic experience is a product of once environment. For
example, Abdul Karim Jeeli, a great Sufi scholar of
8th century, described his mystic experience in which he traveled through
seven heavens. He gave a diagram of the heavens in his book
which is as follows. According to him, Earth is the center of universe
and all planets of solar system revolve around it. But only
the planets up to Saturn were discovered by his time, so he considered the
orbit of Saturn as the seventh heaven. Now, various other planets of the
solar system are discovered like Uranus and Neptune.
We also know that the universe is so big that our solar system is a tiny part
of the whole cosmos. So the details of the mystic
experience of Jeeli are not correct.
Similarly, a Sufi of modern times may observe the universe according to
his knowledge level. This indicates that mystic experience is not something
authentic and it is a product of one's intellectual and academic level. wassalam Mubashir |
