Belief on
religion is based on two parts. first
part is to logically understand three things and when it is a solid concept, it
automatically leads to the second part of belief which is 'blind belief'...let
me put more clearly. at first, we have to logically establish 3 facts into
our core i.e. 1:Allah is the Creator, Sustainer, Ruler etc of universe, He
is unlimited in all regards. In short, we have to understand the authority
and attributes of Allah and start believing firmly on it 2:Mohammad
صلی
اللہ علیہ
وسلم is the final prophet of Allah... for
this we have to study the history of time of Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ
وسلم ... 3:Quran
is the word of Allah When we
establish all these facts in our head and we have logically
believed on these (not a forceful belief that this is religion no matter what)
then the second part of faith starts. That when Allah is the Almighty Creator
and Allah sent Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ
وسلم (and all prophets, may Allah bless them all) and Quran
is word of Allah, then what ever is written in Quran is true and for us to
follow, and what ever was told by Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ
وسلم is also true and actually from
Allah as a guideline... now what ever is coming thru Quran and Mohammad صلی اللہ علیہ
وسلم is true (no matter our logic can
prove/understand it or not.) we have to believe and follow... so here comes
the beliefs in other elements of Islam... Did I
make my point clear? This is all from book by Nibhani
"the system of Islam" chapter 1... Fatima Saem July 2011 |

Respected Sister Wa alaikum us salam wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu I principally agree that if we believe in God, Prophethood
and the Quran, we should accept all their teachings. However, as far as I have
studied the directives of the Quran and Sunnah, I did not find a single
example where Allah has asked us to do something that is against our
intellectual requirements. Every directive of the Quran and Sunnah is very
logical and any unbiased person can reach at the same conclusion. wassalaam Mubashir |

salam alaikum, I agree with your view point
about all directives of Quran and Sunnah being logical and as per our
intellectual requirements. in my opinion 'Blind faith' is still required (even
if we can logically, intellectually, psychologically, socially, etc,, prove
the Islamic laws to be perfect) because there may still be some of the things
which we cannot comprehend even at this stage of knowledge and search too, those
parts of religion we have to trust and take blindly to be true and perfect....
take example of the economic laws in Islam. some of
them could not be understood/proved at the level of initial setup in Arab
society because foreign concepts had not infiltrated Islam at that time... but
later after facing socialism, capitalism, communism etc we can tell that yes what is the logic
behind economic laws of Islam... Fee amaan Allah FS |

Wa alaikum us salam wa Rahmatullah I appreciate your believe in the Quran and the Sunnah. I
do not say that we should not have a blind faith in Islam. I am putting only
a fact that there is nothing in Islam which does not
satisfy human intellect. All the economic directives of Islam are also very
logical and reasonable and many Non-Muslim intellectuals look at them with
respect. Can you please identify any single agreed-upon economic directive
that is in contradiction with the intellect? There is a Da'wah
significance of this concept. Blind faith may be accepted
by a person who is already a Muslim. For a Non-Muslim, it will not be acceptable as he/she will have blind faith in his/her own
religion. Therefore, we will have to tell Non-Muslims that Islam is the only
religion whose all directives are reasonable and logical and there is nothing
against reason in Islam. wassalaam Mubashir |
