Respected Sister Wa alaikum us salam wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu Philosophy is the product of one's thinking on some questions. All of us have our own philosophy which is developed by our education and experience. Islam has nothing to do with overall philosophy, however, there are some philosophical questions whose answer is provided by Islam. Therefore, Islam is related to Philosophy in such cases. There is no generic answer to your question. We have to discuss each question one by one. However, the world famous philosophers have touched the area of "theology" and "theosophy" in which they have discussed God and His attributes merely based on their own judgment. We should totally ignore that area because whatever they are thinking is fallible while we have undeniable information in form of God's revelation. Other areas of philosophy like ethics, morality, politics, economics, social sciences etc. will be judged according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah and will be accepted / rejected accordingly. wassalaam Mubashir
