Question: Dear Sir I found your website and going through it. I am appearing in Dars e Nizami
and my intention to understand ARABIC EBARAT (understanding Arabic text
without vowels) without any ARAB (RAFA NASAB JARR). My project is to solve the book as maximum as i can (book attached). Please
could you let me have any piece of advice to achieve my goal. I have started the course QURANIC ARABIC PROGRAM. Awaiting for you reply. Jazak Allah u Khair ABDUL REHMAN RAO Karachi, Pakistan September 2010 |

Dear Brother Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu It is a pleasure to receive your mail and learning
about your zeal to learn Arabic language for religious purposes. May Allah
grant you with success. In which Madrassa are you
studying? Obtaining grip over the Arabic Ebarat
(understanding the Arabic text written without vowels) is a long process.
Nobody even present-day Arabs can claim that they understand the Ebarat 100% correct. I have also given a
disclaimer in my books that mistakes in Arabic Ebarat
are possible. We can achieve the maximum in this field. I'll suggest
you the following: 1. Get the company of a good teacher who has grip over
the Ebarat. Read the book in front of him.
He will identify your mistakes. Note down your mistakes and write the
mistaken word thrice with I'raab. 2. It is a pleasure for me that you've started reading
my series of books of Arabic. I've tried to improve that capability of reader
in a way that you'll find complete I'raab at
Level 1. Gradually, I've reduced them. Once you'll reach at Level 5, you'll
feel that your command over the I'raab is
quite good. After that, all you need is to check the I'raab
of any new word learnt in a dictionary. This capability will be achieved
automatically. Your command on the grammar will help you in determining the I'raab which can be obtained by applying the rules
(Qiyasi). Then the only matter will be to
learn the pronunciation of those words which are not Qiyasi
but Sima'ee. (Note: Qiyasi
means the practice of a language that follows certain rules of grammar. Sima’ee means not following the rules of grammar because
native people do not follow any rule.) 3. For short-run, you can do one thing if some teacher
is not available to you. Noor ul Ezah is a widely-taught book. There are versions of this
book with I'raab. Get one of them. Place the I'raab first on the version you have for one chapter.
Then compare it with the version with I'raab.
Identify your mistakes and note them down. Try to avoid that mistake again.
Once you'll complete the book, your skills will be much improved. The good
thing is that it is a book of Fiqh. Usually the
language used in Fiqh is much easier than Arabic
literature. So the task is not very difficult. Please feel free to share any question in future. If
you need any help from me in your studies, it will be a pleasure for me to
help you in that. Remember me in your prayers wassalaam Mubashir |

Dear Sir Thank you so very much for your useful advices. I am on
my way of doing that. Besides this ARABIC IBARAT, please let me have your worthwhile
assistance in other subjects of Dars e Nizami ie MANTIQ (LOGIC) etc. I am DARJA AWAL and in next class we are going to be
taught the following subject. -QUDURI -MANTIQ -HIDAYA TUN NAHU -MISHKAT etc All subjects
seems to be very difficult, I wonder if you could let me know any websites
where I can have the URDU version of such books, by going through them my
subjects became easy to understand. I would be
pleased if in any walk of life I could serve your purpose being based in
Karachi Pakistan. Jazak Allahu Khair Abdul Rehman Rao |

Dear Rao sb Assalam o alaikum I'm happy to receive your response. Please don't
hesitate to ask any question on any subject. Serving the students of religion
is my mission. I'll definitely share with you what I know and will try to
learn what I don't know. It seems that you have also got modern education.
Tell me about your education level. It would be better if we can talk in
Urdu. wassalaam Mubashir |

Dear Sir Assalam o alaikum I have done Executive MBA in Finance from Preston
University Karachi. Writing roman Urdu is bid difficult to me,
let it continue in English. I am in 35th year of my age and feel ashamed that
have not done anything for our beloved religion yet. My aim to obtain Quran/Hadith knowledge and clarify the
misconceptions of people within and outside the Muslim Ummah.
My initial target is to read and understand ARABIC books without AARAB
(HARKAT) and set the translation of IBARAT.. Please keep giving your advices in order to achieve the
task in short time. Abdul Rehman |

Dear Brother Wa alaikum us salaam I'm very happy for your response. It is nice that after
completing your MBA, you are studying the religion. Instead of writing in Roman Urdu, why not to enable
Urdu & Arabic in your computer and write in that. It's also difficult for
me to read/write in Roman Urdu. The procedure of enabling these languages is
available here: http://www.mubashirnazir.org/Setting%20Up%20Your%20System%20For%20Urdu.htm
If you've something specific in mind, please feel free
to ask. Some general advises are as follows: 1. Don't spend much time on Mantiq.
Just read one book explaining its concepts to understand its terminology. It
was very important in Middle Ages, but not important today. The only purpose
is to understand the books written by the mediaeval scholars. 2. Conduct
comparative study of Fiqh. Study all schools of
thought and compare their arguments. Instead of focusing on minute issues of کتاب
الطہارۃ،
کتاب الصلوۃ etc.,
focus more on the matters of practical life like کتاب
التجارۃ،
کتاب القضا etc. 3. Study Hadith with a critical scrutiny. Following
book can help you in this regard: http://www.mubashirnazir.org/ER/Hadith/L0004-00-Hadith.htm
