Dear Brother Wa alaikum us salam wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu You can see any book of the Prophet's صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم Biography for that. According to the narrations, there was no congregation. People used to go in groups of 10 each to perform the prayer. The holy body was not moved outside the chamber of Syeda A'yesha رضی اللہ عنہا and buried there. According to Zurqani, the prayer offered for the Prophet included Salat u Salam. Since it is part of Funeral Prayer of every Muslim so definitely it must be a part of the prayer of the Prophet himself صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم. For details, you can see the Rahmatul Lil A'alameen of Qazi Mansoorpuri, page 243. The main issue in the narrations about the death of the Prophet is that most of its reports contain some extremist narrators who have tried to portray a wrong picture of the companions that they became busy in the matter of Khilafah and ignored the important matter of burial of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. It were the companions who discharge the both responsibilities of saving the nation from anarchy and burial of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم. This is wrong.
