Question: Asalam O Alykum, During my search I found following universities that
are offering courses on Islamic Studies Online. First 3 are backed by solid
scholars as seen from their websites. Maybe if someone else is searching too;
you can share: Al-Madinah International Univeristy - Malaysia Online Islamic University - Qatar http://www.islamiconlineuniversity.com Knowledge International University - Saudia Arabia Islamic University in Madinah
-Saudia Arabia Interestingly, there is no such presence from Pakistan/
India in e-learning of Islamic sciences or Arabic. If anyone look sites that
are below or sites like www.bayyinah.com
or www.thefiks.org, it is clear that
Western Muslims have edge on us and they are far ahead in realizing and
approaching new ways of learning. On my side If I look at top Madrassa websites of
Pakistan most of them are poorly designed and not updated...A Joke: Have a
look at Jamia Azhar
(Egypt) website even its English section is "under construction". Zeeshan Zia,

Assalam o alaikum Your observation is very interesting. The Western
Muslims have edge on us because they live in the modern age and understand its
requirements. They have to face the questions in minds of Non-Muslims who are
interested in Islam. On the contrary, our intellectual leadership is living
in in medieval area. I advise you to do an interesting experiment. Just
visit 2-3 traditional madrassas and chat with their teachers and students.
Discuss the issues of modern age related to Islam with them and Da'wah opportunities offered by the development of media.
Ask the questions raised by a modern man about Islam. Then see their response. wassalaam Mubashir |
