Answer: Dear Brother Assalam o alaikum wa Rahmatullah e wa Barakatuhu Zahiri is a famous school of thought. Actually the number of Fiqh Schools
exceed 15 but four of them became more popular. Imam Dawood Zahiri & Ibn
Hazam are their scholars. Ibn Taimiyah was also inclined towards their
approach. Their major approach was to take the meaning of Quran & Sunnah
in strict "literal" sense. They were against to consider the
meaning of a verse in metaphorical / figurative sense. See the following
