October 2007: Habala Hanging Villageحبلہ کا
معلق گاؤں Habala is situated around 70km from Abha. It is a
great ancient site having a history of around 600 years. The village is
located around 100 meters down from the top and 400 meters up from the base
of a 90 degree straight mountain. People of that village invented an initial
chair lift of ropes (حبل) at their time. The objective was to protect themselves
against Turks. The village had population till 1972. The people were
relocated at that time. |
