February 2006: Makkah مکۃ
المکرمۃ Makkah is the holiest city for the Muslims. It was
founded by Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael (علیہما
الصلوۃ
والسلام) . In the history, it became a
center for pilgrimage and trade. Prophet Muhammad (صلی
اللہ علیہ
وسلم) born here in 571 AD. Now, millions of
people come here from all parts of world to perform Hajj (pilgrimage) and
Umrah (short pilgrimage). |
